Information:

Tournament Format
A max of 24 teams will be divided into different groups, 3 teams in one group.

Tie Format:
Each tie in the First and Final round will have three matches as follows:

1) Mixed Doubles 80+ (Male player min age 45 , Female player min age 30)
2) Men’s Doubles 70+ (Min age 30)
3) Men’s Doubles 100+ (Min age 40)

The + means that the total number of ages of the two players must be greater or equal
to the specified number. 70+ means the total number of ages of the two players must
be greater or equal to 70.

Birth year will be used to determine the age of a player. If the player is born in 1992,
he/she will be considered as 30 years of age (2022 – 1992 = 30).

Tournament
Regulations:

1. This competition will be run in accordance with, but not limited to, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Statues and General Competition Regulations (GCR). In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Tournament Referee will be final.

2. Players can only play 1 match in 1 tie)

Example:
During a tie between Team A vs Team B
No players in Team A who have played in the MD70+ can play in the
MD100+ nor the XD80+ (in the tie between Team A vs Team B)
These players can play in MD100+ or XD80+ in other tie (such as Team A
vs Team C)
3. Each match (MD70+ MD100+ and XD80+ will be based on the best 2 of
3 sets of 21 points.
4. Team captains have to submit match line up at least 30 minutes before
match commencement time. There shall be no substitution of players and
amendments to match line-up once the entries have been submitted.
5. All players must report to the competition venue at least 15 minutes prior to
the scheduled time of their matches.
6. A grace period of maximum 5 minutes will be given for all matches. Failing
which the player will concede a walkover for the particular match.
7. All players must bring along their photo identification documents for
verification purposes at all times
8. Outcome for withdrawal, walkover and retire of matches. No appeal shall be
entertained.
9. The orientation of the badminton court may differ between courts and
assignment of court is at the discretion of the technical officials.
10. Any protest lodged by the player must be done at the time of the ruling and
on-site, and to seek the ruling from the Tournament Referee, if necessary.
Failure to do so will void any future right to protest. The tournament referee
shall have the final decision on all technical and tournament matters.

12. The Team ranking in the Round-robin round will be determined by BWF
Statues Section 5.1 Article 16.3
1. Number of ties won;
2. The result between the teams in question;
3. Match difference in all group ties;
4. Game difference in all group ties;
5. Point difference in all group ties;
If the winner still cannot be determined, a draw will be made to determine
the winner.

Photography and
Video Recording:

1. Photography is only permitted if there are not interference/disturbance to the play. No flashes will be allowed.

2. Video recording within the competition venue is only permitted if the device is not in obstruction of any walkway / pavement etc. The tournament organizer reserves the right to remove any equipment if they deem the devices is causing any obstruction to the players, officials

Indemnity:

1. All players who have sign up for the competition will be deemed to have read
and accepted the prospectus terms, rules and regulation.

2. The organizer will not be responsible or in any way liable for any death,
disability, personal injury, loss of property or any other loss at any time during
the course of this tournament.

3. All participants or supporters that are involved in this competition shall be
responsible for the care taking of their personal belongings. The Organizing
Committee will NOT be held liable for any lost or damages incurred and will be
attributed to the negligence of the rightful owner.

Clothing
Regulations:

1. Clothing must comply with the existing BWF regulations

2. Color of Players’ clothing
In team matches players must wear team uniform. That is each player must wear
the same color and design of shirts and shorts

3. Name and Country of the players.
The name of the player on the back of the shirt is optional.
The name of the players’ country on the back of the shirt is optional

1. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to amend the match fixtures /
schedule at any time. Team captain & Participants must check the official
webpage from time to time for any change.

2. The Organizing Committee endeavors to provide the most updated
information in this prospectus and we reserve the right to alter some of the
information in the prospectus if necessary.

3. The Organizing committee reserves all right to modify and explain the rules
and format of the tournament, to change the event details if there is a need
to do so
